Our Shadows Have Claws is an anthology featuring different stories by a plethora of Latinx authors. Each story is a creative tale with a mix of cultural folklore and personal experience. Each story has its own little world that emerges readers into the characters. Although the stories are short, you’ll feel like you’ve read a whole book.
I really enjoyed this book it was really easy to read and had many different writing styles that each had their own twist; each story could qualify for a genre of its own while still maintaining a horroresque impression on the reader. Some stories have an ending that leaves you smiling, others in shock, and some in downright revulsion. I’m definitely going to read other books by these authors. I recommend this book to others because of the engaging stories, the amazing writing, and the innovative world-building.
