The text has simple words that are fantastic for an early reader. I like the use of repetition. The text was also very informative. I appreciated the extra information at the back of the book to explain more about this beautiful, winged dinosaur. I loved learning more about when the Hatzegopteryx lived, how big the animal was, and about his head crests and wings.
The illustrations are stunning. The author/illustrator did a stunning job. I think he captured the Hatzegopteryx very well in different elements of what the animal does. I love the colorful book. The various angles of the pictures are fantastic.
This book is great for three to six-year-olds or anyone who is learning how to read. Elementary libraries and pre-k to first-grade teachers should all get a copy of this book.
