Outlaw Planet gets my attention because it seems to promise how the book would earn its place in a real stack or display rather than a lot of decorative noise.
A book in this lane does not need to reinvent the form. It just has to avoid bland competence and give the reader something solid to hold onto.
That is usually enough to make me keep a title in mind and recommend it without decorative language.
